Talent Management Program

For many years, the international service provider Arvato, operating in SCM solutions, finance and IT services, has implemented a bespoke Dale Carnegie human resources development program for their approximately 30,000 employees spread across nearly 30 countries. The Dale Carnegie Talent Management Program has become a fixed part of the Arvato business strategy and contains hands-on business training programs for those new to the workforce, young professionals and executive managers

Being a service provider, Arvato operates in a strongly competitive environment, thus sustainable customer relationships are vital to their business sucess. Taking into account the competitive employment market and a trend towards high employee turnover rate elsewhere, the company understands that well-educated and motivated employees – as well as capable executive managers who relate to their employer – are the most important asset for gaining long-term customer rentention.

In order to establish an international young talent and human resources development program which focuses on the individual employees’ skills, Arvato sought a training partner offering practical training, implemented uniformly around the World. With their multi-level talent management program, Dale Carnegie met the challenge perfectly. The “Perspectives” program targets job beginners who are inducted into their new role by an executive manager. The “Personal Development Program” for young professionals comprises three modules focused on social skills, conflict resolution and communications skills and identifies the individual potential of each employee. Arvato’s executive managers are trained through a continuing education program to prepare them for their role as coaches, thus supporting their staff.

Through its continuing and individually-focused development, the very applicable Talent Management Program boosts motivation and engagement of Arvato’s employees with the company. Visible results include, more efficient teamwork; improved time management; greater self-confidence; optimised presentation techniques; as well as poise, confidence and enthusiasm in customer conversations. The resulting employee loyalty increases competitiveness and is evident in Arvato’s improved business results.

“Our long-term sucessful co-operation with Dale Carnegie underlines the importance of continuous talent management. Our employees are individually tracked and supported on their career paths. By the continuing refinement of the training content in line with new market challenges we face, the Dale Carnegie Talent Management Program is an ideal global training solution. During the training, we focus carefully giving executive managers a new understanding of how to act as coaches and creators of greater engagement within the company.”
